Linda

For Manhattan Theatre Club’s production of Linda, Scenic Designer Walt Spangler chose digiLED MK7 7mm LED modules from Pete’s Big TVs. PBTV supplied the 10’ x 10’ screen and supported the integration of LED video products into Spangler’s design.

MTC Artistic Director Lynne Meadow directs the American premiere of a new play by Penelope Skinner. It focuses on Linda Wilde (portrayed by Olivier Award winner Janie Dee) an award-winning senior executive and busy wife and mother who finds herself fighting for her own relevance as her life begins to fall apart.

Video Designer Rocco DiSanti used Dataton Watchout to feed his content to the LED screens. The LED modules were built into a set piece and covered with Gerriets SHOW RP to create a more diffused look. Production electrician Gustavo Valdes also served as lead LED tech.

“We chose the MK7 7mm LED wall for Linda because it best served our need for a high-resolution image, that could be seen up close, especially for the price. I was very happy with the results and with the support we received from Pete’s Big TVs,” said Spangler.

In recent years PBTV has supplied LED screens for a number of theatrical productions from opera to regional tours to Broadway. "At Pete's Big TVs we understand the unique theatrical considerations of a production's creative team when looking at LED or video products for the stage," comments Anne Johnston, PBTV Account Respresentative. "That is why we are always happy to demonstrate our wide range of product options and explore how to best to realize their design. We then work closely with the design and production team from product selection through opening night, supporting them throughout the show's run."
