2017 CMT Music Awards

The star-studded 2017 edition of the CMT Music Awards aired on CMT on June 7 and PBTV was in Nashville to support Anne Brahic’s impressive production design and Screens Producer Laura Frank’s eye-catching work with low-resolution LED products. PBTV supplied 80 panels of Viss Display’s SE55 55mm LED Curtain product in its first production usage as well as nearly 600 tiles of GTek 37mm LED video modules. The PBTV LED Technician for the CMT Music Awards was Nick Faubion providing onsite support.

Dynamic content played across the screens throughout the broadcast as the country music stars, joined with fellow artist from across the music spectrum. Notable performance included Lady Antebellum and Earth, Wind and Fire; as well as Keith Urban, who won 4 CMT awards during the night, performed with the second-most-awarded singer of the evening, Carrie Underwood. Kicking off the night of performances and awards was Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean and Darius Rucker joined by Derek Trucks in a tribute performance “Midnight Rider” to honor Gregg Allman.
