2018 MTV VMA Kickoff Concert

PBTV was onsite supporting the run up to the 2018 MTV Music Video Awards show as MTV teamed up with DIRECTV NOW for a free Kickoff Concert. Held at Manhattan’s Terminal 5 venue the night before the VMAs. MTV wanted to give fans a glimpse of what was to come at the VMAs with performances by Rita Ora, Bebe Rexha, and Madison Beer and a guest set by DJ Lion Babe. The event was hosted by supermodel and activist Winnie Harlow.

PBTV provided a main LED screen made up of digiLED DLPi 3.9mm modules that measured 26’ wide x 15’ high. That main screen was surrounded on the top and the sides by an arch consisting of DLPi 3.9mm LED modules with processing that included NovaStar NovaPro HD processing. The concert also featured a DJ booth wrapped in digiLED MK7 7mm LED moduleswith digiLED Navigator processing. The PBTV account was led by Guy Benjamin and the lead PBTV technician was Nick Faubion.
